Food Well Alliance is a collaborative network of local leaders working together to build thriving community gardens and urban farms across metro Atlanta. Our mission is to provide resources and support to local growers to connect and build healthier communities.
Grow With Us!
Together, we can realize our vision of an equitable, local food ecosystem in which everyone can participate and benefit. That includes you! Volunteer, donate or join us in this week’s featured action step:
Food Well Alliance counts on donors like you to achieve our mission to provide resources and support to local growers so everyone can have access to locally grown food - the healthiest food we can put in our bodies. This year, every dollar you donate is DOUBLED thanks to matching gifts by the Food Well Board and Tito's Handmade Vodka - up to $25,000.
Since 2015, donors have helped sustain over 300 farms, gardens, and orchards served by Food Well. Join us this GA Gives Day on Tuesday, December 3 to help support local growers. Together, we can realize our vision of an Atlanta that is locally grown and community connected!
Community Garden Grants
For the 2025 Community Garden Grants cycle, Food Well Alliance seeks to deploy $110,000 in direct funding to community gardens in our five-county service area.
Community gardens can apply to both opportunities but will only receive one of the following grants:
Garden Improvement Grant: This is a $1,500 grant that helps community gardens address infrastructure, supply, and material needs to keep their gardens thriving.
Garden Forward Grant: This is a $10,000 grant aimed at helping two established, active community gardens move forward with larger projects.
New this year, Food Well has expanded the availability of labor support funding to include community gardens! These funds are intended to cover the labor costs associated with garden projects that require a specialized contractor. While this resource is available year-round, it can be combined with your grant funds to assist in project implementation. The application for this resource is SEPARATE from the 2025 Community Garden Grant application and can be found here.
If you have questions about this year’s grant opportunities, watch the recording of our Q&A Webinar with Kalia Henry to learn more.
The application deadline is November 15, and grants will be distributed at the beginning of 2025 ahead of the growing season.
Together, we can create healthier communities in metro Atlanta. Join us and make a difference:
