The ultimate local food is food you grow yourself! This class will outline seven steps to create your own organic vegetable garden. We will cover when to plant and what varieties, how to control bugs and diseases organically and much more. The evening will start with networking over beer and local farm tastes provided by our host 5 Seasons Brewing, a long-time friend of organic farmers like Riverview Farm in Ranger and Moore Farms & Friends. Georgia Organics members Mike and Judy Cunningham of Country Gardens Family Farm in Newnan will lead our workshop and Georgia Organics staff will also be on hand with planting and harvest calendars, seeds, and vegetable seedlings to help you kick-off your edible garden.
