Fruit Tree Workshop & Orchard Planting at Pat Maxwell's Place

Join us on Saturday, December 7, at Pat Maxwell’s Place for a community orchard planting and workshop! Food Well Alliance will lead a workshop on fruit tree planting and care before kicking off a community orchard planting at Pat Maxwell’s! This workshop and orchard planting is a great way to get hands-on experience with planting trees. Residents, growers, and community members are welcome to join us in this unique planting opportunity.

This orchard at Pat Maxwell’s Place is the first implementation project of the newly adopted City Agriculture Plan! Increasing orchards and growing space in Austell is a recommendation in the Austell City Agriculture Plan identified and prioritized by the public.

Stay the whole day to enjoy local vendors, a s’mores bonfire, and holiday celebrations!
